Nutritional Labelling

Consumers have many choices regarding their food supply, so they are very selective about the products they purchase. They demand a wide variety of products that are safe, nutritious, and of high quality and offer a good value. There is high cautiousness about nutritional content among today’s consumer. Growing emphasis is given to precise nutritional value of foods due to increased stringency for regulations to list the nutritional contents on packaged food material. This dictate the need for analysis of food ingredients and products. Looking towards the growing inclination of the consumers towards healthy and nutritional foods, nutritional labelling is crucial for any food industry. We analyse food products to provide the nutritional information one can trust. The parameters covered under this service are moisture, fat, protein, ash, carbohydrates, reducing sugars, non-reducing sugars, free fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals.

Shelf Life Study

The shelf life of the food is the period of during which the food retains an acceptable quality from a safety and organoleptic point of view, depends on four major factors, mainly formulation, processing , packaging and storage conditions. Shelf life studies evaluate changes in a product over a time under various storage conditions. SITEL Laboratory has temperature control incubators to study the chemical and microbiological changes in the food raw material and products under different combinations of temperature and humidity.

Identification of Food Adulterant
